The transparent polymer shell acts as a fire and electric shock protection function in the product. According to the requirements of the standard, the material of the shell of the fluorescent lamp must reach the V-1 grade or above, so the transparent polymer shell must use the material above the V-1 grade. It should be noted that the thickness of the product shell must be greater than or equal to the thickness required by the V-1 grade of the raw material to meet the required V-1 grade. The fire protection grade and thickness requirements can be found on the UL yellow card of the raw material. In the actual inspection, it was found that in order to ensure the brightness of the LED lamp, the manufacturer often makes the transparent polymer shell very thin, which requires the inspection engineer to pay attention to ensuring that the material meets the required thickness for fire protection. Different raw materials have different thickness requirements for the same fire rating. Some raw materials can meet higher fire rating requirements with a smaller thickness, and you can choose a suitable raw material to make the product shell.
