These is the third part of precautions for aluminum profile extrusion molds.
(8) The aluminum profile extrusion mold needs to be cleaned before nitriding, and no oil is allowed to be brought into the furnace; the nitriding process must be reasonable (depending on the equipment characteristics and mold materials). The surface hardness after nitriding is HV900~1200. If the nitride layer is too thick and too hard, it will cause the nitride layer to peel off. A set of molds generally allows 3 to 5 nitriding times; complex high-power tooth radiator profile molds do not undergo the nitriding process;
(9) New molds, rod molds, and round tube molds of old products can be nitrided directly without trial molding; new products and complex profile molds must pass the trial mold before they can be nitrided;
(10) After the new aluminum profile extrusion mold is qualified, a maximum of 10 ingots should be extruded and then unloaded for nitriding treatment to avoid pulling the work belt out of the groove; overproduction is not allowed between two nitridings. Generally, The number of spindles for the flat mold is 60 to 100, and the number for the split mold is 40 to 80 spindles. Too many spindles will pull through the nitride layer.
(11) After the used aluminum extrusion mold is polished, it is oiled and stored in the warehouse.
