Characteristics of Plant Factories-Intelligent Environmental Management

Plant factories generally require a clean cultivation space of different levels. Indoor and outdoor air exchange must be achieved through air conditioners with air filtration devices. Temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide concentration data can be obtained through internal and external monitors. The plant factory can provide systematic equipment for plants with a suitable growth environment, and is divided into two parts: vegetable seedlings and cultivation. The plant factory uses energy-saving LED plant growth lights as the light source, and adopts interrelated control subsystems such as cooling-heating two-way temperature and humidity control, light-carbon dioxide coupled photosynthesis and air fertilizer control, and online detection and control of nutrient solutions, which can control plants in real time. Environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, light, air flow, carbon dioxide concentration, and nutrient solution in the factory are automatically monitored to achieve intelligent management. Normally, the day and night temperature in a leaf lettuce plant is between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius, and the humidity is between 65% and 75%. The carbon dioxide concentration is generally between 400 and 1200 ppm according to the different needs of different plants.
